The Ostrander Awards honor the best in Memphis live theater. Awards are given in a wide range of categories including acting, directing, and back-stage contributions in both college and community divisions.
McCoy Theatre’s production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” won an Ostrander for Best Musical Production in the college division plus five other awards for:
- Set Design: Kathy Haaga
- Sound Design: Eric Sefton
- Leading Actor in a Musical: Ryan Gilliam
- Direction of a Musical: Cecelia Wingate
- Small Ensemble
