Moreland Named Interim Dean of the Faculty

Dr. Milton Moreland, Professor of Religious Studies, Chair of the Archaeology Program, Director of the Memphis Center, and Coordinator of the Institute for Regional Studies at Rhodes, has been named Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty.

Moreland, recipient of the 2012 Jameson M. Jones Award for Faculty Service, works diligently to bring faculty together to provide exceptional interdisciplinary learning for Rhodes students. “He has a strong commitment to Rhodes and the best in liberal arts education,” says President William E. Troutt.

Moreland replaces Dr. Michael Drompp, who will step down July 1, 2014, after serving as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty for six years.
