Prof. Mary Miller’s Research Featured in Genetics Spotlight

Prof. Mary Miller’s research on genetics is featured in the annual GENETICS Spotlight booklet, a publication of the Genetics Society of America.

“Budding Yeast for Budding Geneticists: A Primer on the Saccharomyces cerevisiae Model System” is the title of her article, which presents a brief historical perspective on the emergence of this organism as a premier experimental system over the course of the past century.

Miller is the J. T. and V. B. Robertson Chair in Biological Sciences at Rhodes and director of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program. In addition to genetics, her research interests include cancer biology and microbiology.
