Rhodes Earns Presidential Honor Roll Recognition for Community Service

Rhodes has been named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll With Distinction. The Corporation for National and Community Service announced today the list of annual Honor Roll award recipients, recognizing the nation’s leading higher education institutions for their commitment to bettering their communities through service. Rhodes is among 113 institutions earning the recognition of Honor Roll with Distinction.

More than 80 percent of Rhodes students participate in service, with many choosing Rhodes because of the college’s strong support for connecting the lessons of the classroom to the community. Twice, the college has been ranked number one on Newsweek’s “Most Service-Oriented” list of schools.
