After a nationwide search for moms to share their cooking tips and creative ways for using Reynolds Consumer Products, Rhodes alumna Tiffany Merritt of Chattanooga, Tenn. was announced a winner.

Now as a Reynolds Real Mom for a year, she will be featured in national advertising for Reynolds, attend media events, and provide recipes and tips online.

Dr. Margaret McColley, assistant professor of French at Rhodes, is traveling to the nation of Mauritius this month to present a talk on using Indiana by George Sands to teach geography.

Aubrey Hord ’14 starts her own bow tie business while pursuing a degree in Psychology. 

Political science major Tyler Adams ’15 is one of 24 local college students working as a summer intern as part of the City of Memphis’ Urban Fellows Program. The program aims to keep some of the city’s best and brightest from moving away after college graduation by enhancing interactions with various divisions of City of Memphis government.

Professor Judaken now has accepted an invitation to the Isaac and Jessie Kaplan Centre for Jewish Studies and Research in Cape Town, South Africa for two weeks, beginning on June 23.

Rhodes staff member and parent Angela Fletcher recently was invited, completed the training, and passed the tests to become an official officer for theShelby County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations (SCSO) K-9 Unit with her adopted bloodhound Maddy. Fletcher is a part of many other volunteer rescue and recovery organizations in addition to SCSO. Her training, certifications, and membership on the teams allow her to respond to rescue and recovery efforts in Tenn., Miss., Ark., and Mo.

Tina Dao ’15 is participating in the 2013 Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF) Program presented by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM).

Rhodes’ interfaith and Better Together activities also are featured in the May issue of Presbyterians Today.

Milan Vigil recently demonstrated Taijiquan to guests of the Asian-American Pacific Islander luncheon presented by Naval Support Activity Mid-South.
