While students at Rhodes College, alums Robyn Barrow ’15 (art history) and Alexandra Cronin ’15 (English) bonded over the love of books, creative writing, and good food. Now the author duo, whose pen name is Quinn Connor, has published a new book titled The Pecan Children (Sourcebooks Landmark, 2024).
On June 11 at 6 p.m., Novel Bookstore in Memphis (387 Perkins Ext.) will feature Quinn Connor as part of the store’s “Meet the Author” series. The Pecan Children is described as a story of the love between sisters and an allegory of decay in small-town America, walking the line between beauty and horror.
Quinn Connor, who focuses on magical realism and character-driven narratives, also wrote Cicadas Sing of Summer Graves published in 2023.
