Dr. Emily Hodges ’98 Recognized Among Young Scientists in New York Tri-State Area

Dr. Emily Hodges, who graduated from Rhodes with a B.A. in French and biology in 1998, is a Regional Award Finalist of the Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists. She was among the 2013 honorees recognized recently at the New York Academy of Sciences Gala.

The Blavatnik Awards celebrate innovative young researchers working at research institutions in the New York tri-state area who are making a difference in the fields of life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering. 

Hodges is a research investigator focusing on genetics and genomics at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. She holds a Ph.D. in functional genomics and bioinformatics from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.
