Students in Rhodes’ First-Year Experience program are being featured in The Commercial Appeal in a new retrospective slideshow illustrating high points in the history of the National Civil Rights Museum. The museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
First-year students visited the museum in two shifts on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11. Both institutions thought it was important enough to work together and create a weekend for a shared learning experience that creates conversations about diversity and inclusivity. Accompanied by their instructors, students toured the museum and participated in discussions while there.
