Dr. Abou-Bakar Mamah, associate professor of French and Francophone Studies, has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Conseil International d’Études Francophones (CIÉF), becoming one of two representatives from the United States on the organization’s governing board. Additionally, he led Togo's bid to host the 42nd CIÉF World Congress in 2028.
At Rhodes, Mamah leads the French Immersion Maymester in Togo.
