Morgan Rote ’11 Receives National ODK Scholarship

Rhodes alumna Morgan Rote ’11 has been named a 2014 Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) Foundation Scholarship recipient. A national committee selected 20 recipients based on extraordinary achievement in both academic and extracurricular endeavors. Rote was inducted into ODK in 2010.

The scholarships help winners attend an accredited graduate or professional program. Rote will be attending Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in the fall pursuing a master’s degree in international economics with a concentration in energy, resources, and the environment. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from Rhodes.

Rote was a student trustee and student government senator at Rhodes as well as a member of Kappa Delta and the Peer Advocate Center.

Founded in 1914, ODK was the first college honor society of a national scope to give recognition for meritorious leadership and service in extracurricular activities; membership continues to be a mark of highest distinction and honor.
