Dr. Michael Nelson, professor of political science at Rhodes College and a recognized presidential scholar, will provide an analysis of the 2024 election results during a one-time class offered by the college’s Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning.
The session, titled “What Happened on Tuesday and What it Means Going Forward,” will be held over Zoom on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 5:30-7 p.m. (CST)).
Tuition for the class is $35, and individuals interested in attending must register.
Nelson also is a Senior Fellow at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center. He has published more than 30 books and more than 50 articles on the presidency, elections, Southern politics, and more. In the aftermath of every presidential election since 1984, he has organized a group of political scientists around the country to write a book on the election. The 2024 elections will be the latest in that series.
At Rhodes, Nelson teaches courses on the American presidency, Southern politics, the Constitutional Convention, and presidential elections.
