The Oxford University Press blog has published an article by Prof. Rhiannon Graybill, assistant professor of religious studies and director of the gender and sexuality studies program. Her post, "Why is the Bible so much like a horror movie?", contrasts horror movie tropes with biblical texts as a means of looking at and understanding prophetic literature in the Bible. Rhiannon also addresses these issues in her forthcoming book, Are We Not Men?
