As part of the special events held during Inauguration Weekend, President Marjorie Hass moderated "Windows on the City," a panel discussion on what it means to be a liberal arts college in an urban area. Topics included the city as a laboratory for learning, ways to partner with and engage with the city, and issues particular to urban versus rural campuses.
Panel guests included President Elizabeth Kiss of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA; President Michael Sorrell of Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX; and President John Smarrelli of Christian Brothers University in Memphis. President Joanne Berger-Sweeney of Trinity College in Hartford, CT, was scheduled to participate, but was unable to attend due to illness.
