Rhodes President William E. Troutt is featured in a new video about The College Initiative (TCI), which is transforming school communities and providing low-income students with the mentorship and resources needed to succeed in college.
"The vitality of any community can be linked so directly to educational attainment,” says President Troutt in the video.
TCI partners with nine Shelby County Schools as well as schools in Arkansas and Mississippi. It trains schools’ existing teachers, parents, partners, and volunteers to ensure that students reach their full potential. President Troutt currently serves on the Tennessee State Board of Education. View the video.
