President Troutt Leaves an Impressive Legacy, According to Guest Column by Former Trustee

“As Dr. Bill Troutt retires from Rhodes College on June 30, 2017, following 18 years as president, he leaves an impressive legacy of leadership and service to the college," writes businessman and philanthropist Spence Wilson in a guest column published in The Commercial Appeal, April 22.  

Wilson served as a trustee of the college for more than 40 years including serving on the selection committee that invited Troutt to come to Rhodes, and as chairman of the board from 2000 to 2009. The article highlights the president’s many accomplishments to Rhodes and to Memphis. Read more.
