Rhodes College ranks among the top institutions in the nation for study abroad participation, according to the Open Doors 2025 Report on International Educational Exchange released by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
Rhodes ranked in the following categories:
- No. 30 for number of undergraduates participating (284 total for Rhodes)
- No. 34 for participating baccalaureate colleges
- No. 18 for numbers of students participating in short term programs
These rankings reflect U.S. students studying abroad during the 2023/24 academic year. The Open Doors report is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, with funding from the U.S. Government and support from IIE.
“Study abroad continues to be one of the top reasons students choose Rhodes College,” said Dr. Erin Hillis, executive director of Rhodes’ Buckman Center for Global Engagement. “Consistent placement in Open Doors’ national rankings affirms how committed Rhodes faculty, leadership, families, and students are to global education. This is an important part of our graduates’ success in their interconnected world.”
