Registration is underway for the Spring 2026 session of the Meeman Center for Lifelong Learning at Rhodes College. The center offers non-credit courses designed for adult learners, with options ranging from single sessions to multiple meetings. Engaging courses are expertly guided by Rhodes professors and cover a variety of topics from history and literature to current events.
Unless otherwise noted, in-person Meeman classes will be held in Dorothy C. King Hall, which is located along University Street on the college’s West Campus. Most classes may also be joined remotely on Zoom.
For the Spring 2026 session, participants can delve into literature offerings such as the epic journey of Homer’s Odyssey, the enchanting world of Shakespeare, and Leo Tolstoy’s timeless novel, Anna Karenina.
For those interested in exploring modern media, there are two courses—Political Advertising Through the Ages and A Hitchcock Festival.
Educational Challenges is a course centered around questions surrounding teaching and learning in K-12 education today. Additionally, participants can explore the Science of Learning: Applying Cognitive Research to Teaching and Training.
