Rhodes College, with a learning environment that is beautiful, community-centered, and transformative, is once again featured in the Fiske Guide to Colleges. The 2020 guide delivers an insider’s look at what it’s really like to be a student at the “best and most interesting” schools in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and Ireland.
Rhodes is among the 300 schools profiled in the guide, which notes Rhodes’ demanding and challenging academics and its Collegiate Gothic architecture, with leaded-glass windows and slate roofs. “Throw in the college’s proximity to Memphis’ world-famous Beale Street, barbecue, and the blues, and it’s clear that Rhodes offers a winning combination,” writes editor Edward B. Fiske
The Fiske Guide to Colleges 2020 also includes comments from students, including:
- “Service is an integral part of the Rhodes experience.”
- “Every professor I’ve had has been very personable, available, interesting, and invested in the students.”
- “Students tend to be friendly and motivated.”
