American Mock Trial Association teams across the country have been competing in a series of regional tournaments to qualify for the opening round of the championship series, hoping to make it to the nationals in April.

Rhodes B mock trial team, led by captains Bell Tucci and Kevin Caltry, took first place, and Rhodes A, led by captains Sam Frank and Reese Conners, took second place after competing in the regional tournament held Feb. 23-25 in Norman, OK.

Rhodes also picked up individual awards. Destiny Baugh, Kevin Caltry, and Bell Tucci were named All-Region Attorneys, and Maya Bridgeman and Megan O’Keefe were named All-Region Witnesses.

Rhodes C, led by captains Emma Taylor and Astoria Moore, finished in second place in the regional tournament held in St. Louis, MO, Feb. 16-18. Taylor was named an All-Region Attorney.

At a tournament in Jackson, MS, that same weekend, Lucy Fornetti on the Rhodes E team was named an All-Region Attorney.

During the weekend of March 8-10, Rhodes will host one of the opening rounds of the championship series that determine the top 48 teams advancing to the nationals.
