Rhodes College is working in partnership with a local church to offer a holistic approach for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the community.

On March 12, a ribbon cutting was held for The Healing Center Wellness & Stress Clinic on the campus of The Healing Baptist Church in Memphis.

The clinic is being run in conjunction with volunteers from Rhodes, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, the University of Memphis, Memphis City Government, Memphis Area Legal Services, and the West Cancer Center.

Dr. Peter Hossler, an assistant professor of urban and community health at Rhodes, will serve as program director at the new clinic. Rhodes student volunteers will offer nutrition and fitness support to patients.

The clinic is located at 3885 Tchulahoma Rd.
