Rhodes College helps students connect with internships not only locally but globally, and online periodical University Magazine has recognized Rhodes among 25 “College Campuses with the Highest Internship Opportunities.” According to the article, “These schools provide top-notch internship opportunities, setting students up for success in their post-graduation years.”
Rhodes is No. 13—ahead of New York University, UC Berkeley, and Boston University—and stands out for its exceptional healthcare, business, and finance internship opportunities.
“From medical internships at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to political internships at the mayor’s office, Rhodes students have a lot of choices when it comes to internships,” said Sandi George Tracy, director of career services. “Rhodes alumni have helped to create internship opportunities outside of Memphis in New York, Washington, D.C., and throughout the country. Students have also participated in the Rhodes international internship program and gained experience in Tokyo, Madrid, Cape Town, Dublin, and many other international locations .Internships are valued and encouraged as an integral part of the Rhodes education.”
About 70 percent of Rhodes students complete at least one internship, and one year after earning a degree, more than 99 percent of Rhodes graduates are employed, attend graduate school, or volunteer full time.
