Rhodes College students enrolled in the Psychology of Aging course during the spring 2025 semester are featured in the spring 2025 issue of Trezevant Living, a publication of the Trezevant Manor retirement community.
The students were paired with residents as part of the Story Partners Project, in which they interviewed residents about their lives and recorded the stories to return to them in written form or booklets that can be shared with family and friends.
Students also shared stories about themselves as well as made presentations, gave musical performances, and participated in exercise classes and had meals with the residents, resulting in meaningful bonds.
“As we navigate our lives, our life really is a narrative. It’s the story of who we are, who we have been, and who we still want to be,” said Dr. Geoffrey Maddox, who teaches the Psychology of Aging course.
