The annual Ostrander Awards celebrate excellence in collegiate, community, and professional theater in Memphis, and the Rhodes Theatre Guild (RTG) has received 14 nominations in the Division II category for the 2022-2023 season. The event to honor these nominees will be held on Aug. 27 at 7p.m. at the Halloran Center in downtown Memphis
RTG was established in 2016 as a space for students to spearhead their own projects with the support of the college’s resources and facilities. It is open to anyone wanting to hone their skills in acting, singing, dancing, improv, or technical work.
“Every single one of our shows has received at least one Ostrander nomination. This is a major success and honor not only for our student run theatre company, but also for Rhodes,” said RTG President Kathryn Dressel ’25.
