Seven to Be Inducted into Rhodes Athletic Hall of Fame

A former men's head golf coach who established Rhodes as one of the top men’s golf programs in NCAA Division III and six outstanding alumni will be inducted into the Rhodes Athletic Hall of Fame this fall.

They are:

  • Daniel Brunner ’06, football
  • Hunter Chandler ’11, baseball
  • Bill Cochran, head men's golf
  • Josh Cockerham ’00, men's basketball
  • Jessica Brown Harris ’14, softball
  • Brad Jenkins ’92, football and baseball
  • Lauren Avant Sumski ’14, women's basketball

Established in 1996, the Hall of Fame honors those whose athletic excellence, dedication, and perseverance have brought distinction to Rhodes College. Over the years, inductees have included influential coaches, teams, and standout student-athletes whose accomplishments left an indelible mark on the college's athletic tradition.

“We are honored to celebrate the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees,” said Jim Duncan, director of athletics. “The accomplishments of the inductees on and off the field represent the culture of Rhodes and Rhodes Athletics.”
