Short Story by Phoebe Driscoll ’15 Wins Award in Renowned Fiction Contest

Phoebe Driscoll, who graduated from Rhodes in 2015 with a B.A. in English, has won an Editor's Choice award in the 2016 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest. Now in its 16th year, the Raymond Carver Short Story Contest is one of the most renowned fiction contests in the world.

The title of Driscoll’s short story is “A Wave Breaking.” While a student at Rhodes, she won the Best Hometowner Feature and Audience Choice awards at the 2014 Indie Memphis Film Festival for her full-length documentary “Pharaohs of Memphis.”
