The Rhodes Department of Chemistry and the student chapter of the American Chemical Society recently co-hosted the Fourth Annual Undergraduate Chemistry Symposium. Held on campus, the symposium featured student presentations of research performed at Rhodes and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Multiple students won awards given by the local ACS chapter for their presentations:
- First place-Andy Nguyen (works in the lab of Dr. Snyder at St. Jude)
- Second place-Omid Taghavi, Alex Graves, and Meghan Kiker (work in the lab of Prof. Eckenhoff at Rhodes)
- Third place-Emily Harrison (works in the lab of Prof. Cafiero at Rhodes)
The event was organized and staged by the officers of the student ACS club: Danielle Wilson, Sam Jordan, Zainab Atiq, Trey Bates, and Sneha Suresh.
