The Gender and Sexuality Studies Program will host its 15th annual student research symposium, featuring moderated panels of scholarly and creative presentations by Rhodes students. Open to the public, the event will take place April 12 from 3:20 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Blount Auditorium.
“This year’s Gender and Sexuality Studies Symposium was one of our most competitive yet,” says Dr. Rebecca Tuvel, assistant professor of philosophy who organized the event. “I am grateful to all the students who submitted and thrilled for audience members to hear a diverse and engaging set of student presentations on topics across the disciplines.”
Topics include female embodiment, feminism and media arts, queer perspectives, gender, and sexuality and religion. Moderators include Rhodes professors Judith Haas, Kathleen Doyle, Elizabeth Bridges, and Tyler Lefevor.
