Tanner Nau, who recently received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rhodes College, has been awarded the competitive Public Interest Fellowship, which is a is a two-year long program comprised of highly qualified recent college graduates and young professionals interested in areas such as politics, rule of law, education reform, and foreign policy.
The fellowship provides opportunities for fellows to connect with a network of leaders and participate in seminars and discussions on relevant issues. Fellows take part in monthly dinners with members of Congress, high-level government staffers, nonprofit executives, policy experts, public intellectuals, and other special guests.
Nau, who will be working full-time in Washington, D.C., is interested in a career in journalism and speechwriting.
At Rhodes, Nau was a member of the football team and worked as political science research assistant.
