The Rhodes College Board of Trustees approved the following resolution during their spring meeting, April 17, 2015:
Our Vision for Rhodes is to graduate students with a life-long passion for learning, a compassion for others, and the ability to translate academic study and personal concern into leadership and action in their communities and the world. Passion for learning is enriched as we fully draw upon the broadest possible range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experience. Compassion for others is enhanced when we ensure our academic, social and residential communities are truly inclusive in thought, word and deed—a welcoming place for all students, staff, and faculty. Today we reaffirm our commitment to the Rhodes Vision and our belief that both diversity and inclusion are essential to achieving this Vision.
