Eighteen Rhodes College chemistry research students participated in the 50th Annual Southeastern Undergraduate Research Conference held at the University of Mississippi February 2-3. The conference featured a keynote address, 37 oral presentations, and 57 poster presentations. Emily Sanders ’20 won an award for Outstanding Poster Presentation, and Andrea Pajarillo ’18 won an award for outstanding Oral Presentation. Sanders works in the lab of Prof. Mauricio Cafiero, and Pajarillo works in the lab of Prof. Larryn Peterson.
This conference brought together chemistry students from Rhodes, University of Mississippi, University of Alabama, University of Southern Mississippi, Millsaps College, Mississippi College, Auburn University, Clemson University, Georgia Tech, to name a few.
