Will Cobb ’18 has already made a mark on Rhodes’ campus as part of the winning team in the prestigious ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest and as a member of the Best in Show team in Rhodes’ own hackathon, RhodesHacks. Now, the computer science major has developed an app that’s trending in the Apple App Store—only out a few days, it’s now ranked #11, above Uber, Netflix, and Spotify, and has garnered more than 1,000 reviews and 4 and a half stars.
The app, Go Radar, is an assistant app for Pokémon Go that tracks Pokémon around the world and notifies players of their location. Still looking for Charmeleon? Go Radar not only finds that rare Pokémon, it provides walking and driving instructions and lets you know how long they’ll be there. The free app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
