The Memphis Chapter NATS (National Association of the Teachers of Singing) auditions were held at the University of Memphis on Oct. 31.

One of the first big events at Rhodes every year is Parent/Family Weekend, when parents flock from all over to get a peek into the lives of their students.

Students in two Rhodes classes will get the opportunity to engage with Dr. Vincent Wimbush, a scholar of religion and the 2015 Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar.

The Rhodes College men and women’s cross country teams came away victorious on Oct. 31 capturing their first ever Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships since joining the league in 2012.

Digital Technology Enhances Scholarship

Rhodes President William E. Troutt and university representatives from around the country will gather at Yale University on Oct. 30 to discuss the urgency of supporting and retaining teachers in high-poverty, high-minority public schools.

Thanks to the recent major and minor fair held on campus, Rhodes students don’t have to feel like they are alone when making the decision that will shape the rest of their college careers.

Students in Prof. Nora Jabbour’s class will be educating the campus about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), celebrated in Mexico and Latin America countries to remember deceased friends and family. As part of this celebration, families and school children make altars with food, flowers, decorations and photos in memory of their loved ones.

The Department of Chemistry with the St. Jude Chemical Biology Department and the local chapter of the American Chemical Society co-hosted the Third Annual Undergraduate Chemistry Symposium.
