Dr. Marjorie Hass was formally installed as the 20th president of Rhodes College on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018.

Dr. Marjorie Hass will be formally installed as the 20th president of Rhodes College on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018. The Rhodes community, invited guests, and the media are welcome to attend inauguration weekend.

The overall list includes public, private, and liberal arts colleges and is based on academic quality as well as cost and financial-aid measures.

The globally conscious business major founded a UN campus chapter at Rhodes to host service projects and forums and lend visibility to the UN’s goals.

D.J. Coker '19 has been named to the 2017 AFCA Division III Coaches' All-America second team by the American Football Coaches Association.

“I am very pleased the ratings agencies recognized the financial strength of Rhodes,” says President Marjorie Hass. “We will continue to build on that foundation of strength as we plan for the future.” 

This summer, art fellows Jane Eskildsen ’19 and Reagan Alley ’18, with visual resources curator Rosie Meindl, began the work of bringing the Jessie L. Clough Art Memorial for Teaching at Rhodes into the digital age.

On Oct. 19, 2017, Rhodes College established the Alpha Iota Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society that recognizes and promotes excellence in education. Twenty-five students were inducted in a ceremony conducted by Rhodes educational studies faculty and KDP executive council member Dr. Clinton Smith of the University of Tennessee at Martin.  

Austin Barringer ’19, a math major from Danville, KY, brings something different to the table when it comes to Rhodes College’s improvisational comedy troupe, Contents Under Pressure (CUP). Out of the 14 students in CUP, he’s the only one pursuing a STEM major.

Thomas Mitchell and Raven Burks were recognized Oct. 28 at the college’s homecoming football game.
