R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Rhodes Gathering Pays Tribute to Aretha Franklin

On Aug. 29, a mix of faculty, staff, and students gathered in Rhodes’ Hyde Hall as the strains of “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)” and “Son of a Preacher Man” played in the background. They came for lunch and an intimate discussion about the life, music, and Memphis roots of Aretha Franklin, who died Aug. 16.

The Audubon Sessions to Make TV Debut

The Audubon Sessions makes its television debut in 2017 on public, educational, and government (PEG) cable access stations in cities throughout the country.

The Audubon Sessions: PreauXX

On Friday, Nov. 13th, PreauXX (pronounced "Pro”) performed for roughly 50 students, faculty, and Memphians at Elvis’ original Memphis home. This was part of the Mike Curb Institute’s The Audubon Sessions concert series.
