Amy Ware has assumed the position of Assistant Vice President for Career Integration and Rhodes Family Executive Director of the Center for Career and Professional Development at Rhodes College. This is the college’s first endowed staff position, and the appointment marks an important step in its vision to more seamlessly integrate career services with academic programs.
In this role, Ware will provide strategic leadership for the Center for Career and Professional Development and create a cohesive framework that fosters meaningful engagement among students, faculty, alumni, and employers while enhancing career readiness and post-graduate success for all Rhodes students.
Ware joins Rhodes from Christian Brothers University, where she led numerous innovative initiatives as assistant vice president of career services and external relations. During her tenure, she developed the school’s academic internship program, launched a for-credit career planning course, executed a comprehensive rebranding of career services, and introduced a campus-wide career readiness campaign to embed career competencies into curriculum and co-curricular student experiences. Her leadership and contributions were recognized through the 2025 Lasallian Educator of the Year Award.
Ware holds a master’s degree in student personnel services from The University of Memphis and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi. Her more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education includes previous roles at Rhodes College and the University of Georgia, providing a background in the liberal arts student experience and evolving landscape of career integration in higher education.
