Artwork by Charley Robinson, an art major from Cordova, TN, is prominently featured in the distinguished Bellwethers Annual Juried Exhibition of Collegiate Student Art. The title of her work is Me, Myself, and My Ancestors.
The show runs now through Nov. 14 at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center in Humboldt, TN.
Robinson’s work is a collage of images made of found wallpaper and found magazine paper and centered around the theme of family.
Robinson was selected to showcase her work alongside students from two- and four-year institutions across 14 states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
A multidisciplinary artist engaged in painting, drawing, animation, and printmaking and constantly exploring new forms of creativity, Robinson has had her work displayed at Rhodes’ Clough-Hanson Gallery, TONE Gallery, and Memphis Art Salon. She has worked as an arts studio assistant for The Lynne & Henry Turley Memphis Center for Community Engagement and as an intern at Goetze Art & Design.
This summer, she interned at the Children's Museum of Memphis and participated in a workshop at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO.
The closing reception and awards ceremony for the Bellwethers exhibition will take place on Nov. 14.
