Rhodes College has been recognized as one of the Top Producing Institutions of accepted applicants to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This marks the fifth time the college has received this prestigious distinction, which underscores the commitment by Fulbright Top Producing Institutions to foster global connections.
Four members of the Class of 2025 were selected to receive Fulbright U.S. Student Awards for the 2025-2026 academic year. They have had opportunities to teach English abroad and serve as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. in countries ranging from Bulgaria to Colombia to Spain.
Profs. Alexandra Kostina and Jason Haberman serve as co-directors of postgraduate scholarships at Rhodes and assist applicants who are interested in embarking on the life-changing experiences provided by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
“Many applicants note that it is Rhodes’ liberal arts curriculum that prepares them for the kinds of skills and projects that the Fulbright Foundation supports. Our office and many faculty mentors and reviewers serve as encouraging and guiding stewards,” said Kostina.
“Being named a Top Producing Institution for Fulbright U.S. students is another reason students choose Rhodes. The Fulbright Program is where the college's commitment to liberal arts education, global engagement, and transformative experiences all come together,” said Dr. Timothy Huebner, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Participating governments and partner institutions, corporations, and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the Program.
