Rhodes Staffer Angela Fletcher Recognized Nationally as a 2014 Pet Hero Award Winner

Rhodes staff member Angela Fletcher and her adopted bloodhound Maddy have been selected as Heroes of the Year by the Pet Philanthropy Circle. They are helping to save lives as members of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations K-9 Unit, the Mid-South Search and Rescue Association, and the North American Police Working Dog Association.

They also teach youth about care and compassion for animals and are involved in pet therapy for children who have experienced traumatic events.

Fletcher, who is an administrative assistant II in Rhodes’ External Programs, has been invited to attend the pet heroes award ceremony to be held in August in Water Mill, N.Y.
