Student researchers include Mac Williamson, Spencer Beckman, Lauren Rowland, Ashmeet Singh, Elisabet Olsen, Brianna Betton, and Lynsey Campbell. 

Rhodes College’s men's lacrosse team will host Huntingdon College in their first-ever NCAA postseason appearance after earning an automatic bid. The women's lacrosse team will host the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second year in a row. 

Ashley Truong ’16 and Pryce Michener ’17 have been offered Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) awards, which provide highly qualified individuals opportunities to pursue a combined M.D.-Ph.D. degree. MSTPs are funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

Samantha Lamy and Dulcie Trottier will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army, and Madisen Duke-Bruechert will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

Moze will be travelling to Aix-en-Provence, France, while Harden will be studying in Rome, Italy, thanks to the newly established Buckman-Mollerup Scholarship.

Theatre, art, and film students joined together to submit a dance video in an online international dance video project in collaboration with the Pina Bausch Foundation. 

Various Rhodes departments and programs recognized outstanding students at the college's annual Awards Convocation hosted by Academic Affairs on April 27. Special scholarships and awards were also announced.

Rhodes baseball, along with the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, won their respective Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament championships over the weekend, which guarantees their spots in the upcoming NCAA championships. 

Dr. Charles McKinney, the Neville Frierson Bryan Chair of Africana Studies and an associate professor of history, received the Clarence Day Award for Outstanding Teaching. Dr. Marsha Walton, a professor of psychology, received the Clarence Day Award for Outstanding Research.

Through the Le Bonheur Summer Plus Program, Pooja Dave '19 engages with the robust medical community in Memphis—including observing neurosurgery first-hand.
