Rhodes C mock trial team brought home the giant gavel after winning this year’s Mid-South Invitational held Nov. 10-11 at Middle Tennessee State University.

Students of two Rhodes organizations—CA’ESAR and Eta Sigma Phi—are volunteering at the 10th annual Festivus that will include contests, games, awards, treats, feats of strength, and lectures.

On Oct. 19, 2017, Rhodes College established the Alpha Iota Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society that recognizes and promotes excellence in education. Twenty-five students were inducted in a ceremony conducted by Rhodes educational studies faculty and KDP executive council member Dr. Clinton Smith of the University of Tennessee at Martin.  

The book contains a collection of lectures explaining techniques involved in meditation and ways to promote greater well-being.

Rowdy Kowalik ’19 has worked at the National Civil Rights Museum and Ruth Scott ’18 at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens. Three interns helped research material for a Memphis Heritage Inc. guide recently published.

The Gold Torch is a national distinction conferred annually upon the honor society’s most outstanding chapters.

Their research took top honors in the chemistry and physics categories.  

Austin Barringer ’19, a math major from Danville, KY, brings something different to the table when it comes to Rhodes College’s improvisational comedy troupe, Contents Under Pressure (CUP). Out of the 14 students in CUP, he’s the only one pursuing a STEM major.

Thomas Mitchell and Raven Burks were recognized Oct. 28 at the college’s homecoming football game.
