Rhodes College is working in partnership with a local church to offer a holistic approach for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the community. 

Grace Duarte-Baker is the new assistant director, and Shaundra Bills is a clinical counselor. Dr. Archandria Owens will assume the associate director’s position in May.

Prof. Wilkinson is a 2003 Rhodes alumna. Her poem, “When We Were Shepherds,” was published in the March 5 issue of The Nation, America’s oldest weekly magazine.

Rhodes has joined colleges across the country in using this program.

Overseen by Rhodes Engineering, the Makerspace in Rhodes Tower is outfitted with a wide range of equipment. Once trained on the equipment, all Rhodes students are welcome to use the workshop to design and build their own projects.

Kristin Munson, Neil Li, Grant Ramey, and team captain Yui Zhao will represent Rhodes at the regional CFA Institute Research Challenge competition, along with faculty adviser Jade Planchon.

Presenters included Anya McKay ’18, Claire Norton ’17, and Lucy Robinson ’18 from Rhodes.

PJ Settles ’19 and Bryce Hayes ’20 tackle everything from pop culture, music, and sports to serious issues facing today's campuses on their podcast, Can’t Knock the Hustle. 

He is being recognized for his leadership and dedication to food security worldwide.

We have been asked about Rhodes' admission policy regarding applicants who choose to participate in peaceful protests in the aftermath of the recent Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida. At Rhodes, our goal is to inspire our students to become powerful, thoughtful, and productive members of society who take civic responsibility seriously. Peaceful protest, in the college's view, is an extension of that.
