The Rhodes Theatre Guild (RTG) has received nominations for the Ostrander Awards, which recognize excellence in local theater, for the 2025-2026 season. RTG garnered multiple nominations for its production of Urinetown, a satirical musical about a city’s water shortage and a corrupt corporation, which was performed in February and March at the McCoy Theatre on the Rhodes campus.
Established in 2016, RTG provides a platform for students to lead their own projects while utilizing the college's resources and facilities.

Also, Theo Lord was nominated for Leading Actress in a Play for RTG’s production of Radium Girls.
In addition to the nominations, the cast of Urinetown has been invited to perform at the Ostrander Awards ceremony to be held Aug. 30 at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center in Memphis.
