Staying in Memphis: A Strategic Choice for Bonner Scholar Rachel Carroll ’26

Rachel Carroll, a senior health equity major from Memphis, is excited about her upcoming graduation and says, “I chose Rhodes because of the scholarship and for the educational opportunities the school provides. I wanted to make an impact by serving my community and believed Rhodes would be the place to do so. Choosing to remain rooted in Memphis has proven to be an enriching choice.”

Rhodes Awarded 2017-18 SAA All-Sports Commissioner's Cup

The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Rhodes has been awarded the 2017-2018 Commissioner’s Cup. The Commissioner’s Cup, formerly known as the Presidents' Trophy, recognizes the SAA institution with the overall best varsity athletic program. 

Prof. Chien-Kai Chen Writes New Book on China-Taiwan Economic Ties

The book is titled Political Economy of China-Taiwan Relations: Its Origins and Development. Prof. Chen’s teaching and research interests included the political economy of East Asian countries, China’s domestic politics and foreign relations, democratization, state-society interactions, and economic interdependence.
