Rhodes Student-Athletes Earn Southern Athletic Association Academic Honors

An impressive 219 Rhodes College student-athletes have earned a spot on the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Academic Honor Roll for Spring 2026, representing 14 athletic programs. This achievement reflects their dedication and hard work, as qualifying individuals must maintain a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.25 while competing in a conference-sponsored varsity sport.

Rhodes Students Learn in the Great Outdoors of Wyoming

Eleven Rhodes students participated this June in the Rocky Mountain Ecology Maymester through the Teton Science Schools in Kelly, WY. Students also got to meet alumna Mickey Babcock, who established the Rhodes-Teton Science Schools collaboration.

Where There’s a Will Jirik, There’s a Way

Around campus, William Jirik ’18 is known for his saying, “Where there’s a Will, there’s a way,” and the business and economics double major has shown that, with enough determination, one can overcome obstacles and achieve what they set out to do.

2018 Outstanding Staff Awards Presented

Fred Garrett, Liz Hvasta, Tim Lucas, and Nikki Moore were recognized with the college’s 2018 Outstanding Staff Awards. The presentations were made May 17 at the annual Service Recognition Brunch.
