Gottlieb Receives Second Fulbright Scholar Award

Dr. Eric Gottlieb, associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Rhodes College, has been granted a Fulbright Scholar Award to teach and conduct research in mathematics at the University of Primorska in Koper, Slovenia from October 2026 to February 2027. This is Gottlieb’s second Fulbright, having receive the award in 2004 to conduct research in Chile and teach calculus courses at the Universidad de Talca.

Compassionate Campus Initiative: A Q&A with Prof. Mark Muesse

On June 18, Rhodes held a day-long retreat on campus for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. The event was sponsored by the Compassionate Campus Initiative (CCI), which is led by Prof. Mark Muesse of the Department of Religious Studies and composed of faculty, staff, and students who have been charged by President William E. Troutt to seek out and execute ways to make Rhodes a kinder and more mindful community.
