Rhodes College continues to be ranked among excellent colleges in the country. Now, the college has landed on Forbes’ 2024-2025 List of America’s Top Colleges.
Rhodes is featured once again in The Princeton Review’s annual college guide. In the 2025 edition of The Best 390 Colleges, Rhodes ranks in the top 25 in four categories—campus beauty, Greek life, students studying the most, and best-run colleges.
“With a record number of applications received, Rhodes continues to attract some of the brightest students in the nation and abroad,” said Gil Villanueva, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission and financial aid.“
Dr. Mary Miller, professor of biology at Rhodes, was presented the 2024 Jameson M. Jones Award for Outstanding Faculty Service on Aug. 26 at the college’s Opening Convocation.

The Music Critics Association of North America has announced that the opera 10 Days in a Madhouse is the winner of the 2024 Award for Best New Opera. Music alumna Rene Orth ’07 composed the music for 10 Days.
