The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers grants to graduating seniors and graduate students to conduct research, study, and/or teach for one year in more than 140 countries. Recipients are chosen for their academic merit and intellectual potential and must go through an on-campus application process.
Located right across the street from campus, Overton Park is a great resource for the Rhodes College community, from athletes training on its trails to students conducting research to those simply wanting to enjoy its green spaces.

This year, multiple films by Rhodes students and alumni were featured at the Indie Memphis Film Festival, held Nov. 1-5. Sarah Link ’19 and Emily Burkhead ’20 had their documentary The Audubon Sessions Presents: Marco Pavé shown at the festival Nov. 2.
Mark Greaney, New York Times bestselling author and native Memphian, visited Rhodes College to discuss his bestselling series The Gray Man on Nov. 4 at an event sponsored by the international studies department.
Rhodes A and B mock trial teams were crowned champions of the Grand Ole Tournament hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and Rhodes C and D mock trial teams won in their divisions at the MTSU Invitational in Murfreesboro, TN.
Chemistry research students from Rhodes earned five awards after presenting their work at the Arkansas INBRE Research Conference in Fayetteville, AR, Nov. 2-3. They are Zach Wall ’19, Sarah Helland ’21,Madison Perchik ’19, Rebecca Evans ’19, and Rebeca Roldan ’19.
The No. 25-ranked Rhodes College Men's Cross Country team won the 2018 South/Southeast Regional on Saturday, Nov. 10, winning their second regional title in the program’s history after keeping their No. 1-regional ranking all season.
