“Violet” cast and crew also won in six other categories at the Ostrander Awards held Aug. 26 at the Orpheum Theatre. Ryan Gilliam won an Ostrander for his role in McCoy Theatre’s production of “Theophilus North.”
Filled with historic photos, the book includes stories from his interviews with those who have experienced Overton Park first-hand, whether defending it, fighting for desegregation of its facilities in the 1960s, or just enjoying its spaces.
He teamed up with Colombian historian Dr. Germán Mejía to publish the book, which provides topical overviews of the key developments and movements in Latin American history, ranging from the earliest human settlement to the present day.
Aly Ruhl has been hired as Rhodes College’s new director of Greek life, leadership, and engagement. Her primary focus on campus will be supporting Greek life organizations, in addition to serving as an advisor to IFC (Interfraternity Council), NPHC (National Pan-Hellenic Council), and Panhellenic.
